WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO: LYSISTRATA

OPENING IN FEBRUARY 8-MARCH 3

Tickets: vortexabq.org, 505.247.8600

Director Bridget S. Dunne (previously directed She Kills Monsters) says, “This play is funny, as you probably know. VERY funny. Underneath that humor, though, is a powerful story of regular women standing up for what they believe in and taking control of a situation that is simply unacceptable. These women aren’t famous, they’re not soldiers or politicians; they are wives, mothers, sisters, HUMANS, who havedecided they won’t tolerate the waste and death that they’ve had to live with for too long. Lysistrata comes up with this plan, yes, but she can’t do it alone. It takes a force of many to shake things up and make the men realize that there’s more to life than war.”

February 8-March 3, 2019. Fri-Sat 7:30pm; Sun 2pm.

Tickets: $24. Preview: Feb 7 PWYW: Feb 10 Talkback: Feb 17
